We will be raising money for a new Breast Cancer Care Unit at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Kings Lynn in honour of Sara Garner and Sally Grove, my mum and sister.
Last year’s Spring Fling ball in May raised over £8,000 for the new breast cancer care unit at Kings Lynn’s QEH Hospital. It was the third charity ball run by the Godwick Charity Events team in three years and brought our combined fundraising total to about £28,000. Godwick Charity Events fundraising committee, which consists of Dr Steve Grove, Sue Ball, ops director at Godwick Great Barn, and myself are extremely proud of everyone’s effort and support in helping us raise nearly £30,000 over the last three years.
This year’s comedy night will be in honour of both my mum Sara Garner, and my sister, Sally Grove (Steve’s wife), who both lost their fight against breast cancer within months of one another in 2013 and were treated so caringly and lovingly at the QEH.
