Special autumn and winter offer – three nights for the price of two
Our special autumn and winter offer includes the following:
Book three nights and pay for the price of two before the end of March 2016, meaning you have a three night stay in the Sara Garner or the Coke suites for £300 and the Womack suite and Hoste room for £280.
All bookings include a full Godwick Hall breakfast, whether continental or full English.
Come and enjoy north Norfolk with its lovely autumn walks, stunning coastline and great restaurants and country pubs. There’s loads to do and see and Godwick is just 12 miles from the coast.
Things to do Relax – Chill out at Godwick Hall by the roaring fire in the stunning drawing room.
Walking – If you enjoy a good walk then head to north Norfolk and get your fill of fresh country air and stunning countryside. Godwick has it’s own walk around the deserted medieval village of Godwick, the farm and into the neighbouring village of Tittleshall, which is a decent marked trail with a map.
Or take a short drive to the coast for fabulous walks at any of north Norfolk’s amazing beaches. Holkham, Wells, Brancaster, Thornham, Stiffkey, Morston, Blakeney, Cley, Salhouse and Weybourne all have wonderful walks dotted with decent hostelries where you can enjoy a hearty lunch to keep you going.
Sight seeing and shopping – Visit the Royal residence at Sandringham, one of the Queen’s official country retreats. The Royal estate has some fabulous views, manicured gardens and a wonderful Cafe and visitor centre. It’s well worth a visit. If Royals aren’t your thing, then head to the quaint market towns of Burnham Market and Holt. Both have some great shopping with independent boutiques, coffee shops and lively pubs.
Cycling – Bring your bikes and enjoy Norfolk’s flat roads and good touring routes for some great cycling in the fresh air. Godwick Hall’s owner (a keen cyclist) can give you some tips on where to go and may even be persuaded to give you a guided tour. Or if it’s cross trail biking you’re into then bring your mountain bike along and head to Thetford Forest and enjoy its fantastic cross country bike trails. Godwick has plenty of space to store your bikes free of charge.
Eating Out – Ask when making a reservation and we can recommend some lovely places to eat. A couple of our nearby favourites is The Dabbling Duck at Great Massingham or Strattons restaurant in Swaffham. There’s some great eating pubs around the coast such as The Crown at Wells-next-the-Sea, The White Horse at Brancaster Staithe, The Hoste Arms at Burnham Market and the Hunny Bell at Hunworth, near Holt to name but a few.
Horse racing – starts again at Fakenham Racecourse on 16 October, 2015. Organise your day passes through us and get a special discount.
