Sir Edward Coke Suite
Coke bought Godwick in 1580 and proceeded to build a big Manor House a short distance from the village of Godwick. His vast Manor House, which sadly caught fire in the early part of the 19th Century was pulled down in 1962 and just the foundations remain. Sir Edward was Attorney General for England and Wales for Elizabeth I and James I and oversaw the trials of Sir Walter Raleigh as well as the conspirators of the Gunpowder Plot. The Coke suite includes a massive super king size bed, a glass divide that separates a stunning Ashton & Bentley freestanding bath backed with purple glass. This room has lots of natural light and the most lovely of views. Philippe Starke ghost chairs, table and original fireplace mix contemporary and classic styling.
