The Coke suite is named after Lord Chief Justice Sir Edward Coke, who was one of the most prominent lawyers of his time, being Attorney General to both Elizabeth 1 and James 1. Coke built the original Godwick Hall and Godwick Great Barn.
Womack William Branford was the first occupant of the current Godwick Hall. His wonderful name is enough for it to adorn our third room.
Sir William Hoste was a friend of Norfolk Hero Horatio Nelson, who took him as Captain’s servant aboard HMS Agamemnon in 1793 at just 12-years-old. He later became a Captain in his own right and fought in Trafalgar and Waterloo and was rewarded for his bravery.
Sara's room is named in memory of my mother, who loved this house with all her might. Fitting, we think that her name should be associated with our stunning suite.
