Fakenham hosts start of a stage of cycling’s Tour of Britain
Cycling enthusiasts can watch the Tour of Britain’s penultimate days cycling start from nearby Fakenham Racecourse on Saturday 12 September.
The seventh stage of the Tour of Britain 2015, which started on Sunday 6 September, pedals off from Fakenham Racecourse at 10am as the cyclists make their way to Norwich and then on to Ipswich where the seventh stage ends.
It’s a great opportunity to see some famous cycling names and get close to the peleton. It’s free entry to Fakenham Raecourse with the gates opening at 7am.
Godwick is just 5 miles form the racecourse making it a great place for people to stay who are looking to follow the peleton or watch the start of the seventh day. We have two Shepherds Huts that are still available for that weekend and are a great price. Please find their details on AirBnB or call us to book direct.
